A denizen of Radiant Garden of Riku's age who is helping with the restoration effort with Leon and the others. In previous visits to Radiant Garden, Sora, Donald, and Goofy never met Rift because she had been working in inaccessible areas. During the battle of the Heartless, Rift fought to keep the inaccessible areas undamaged by the Heartless.
Rift has shown to have a deep dislike for Keyblade-wielders, namely Sora and Riku. It is hinted that this could be due to events that occurred during the time Radiant Garden was taken by the darkness 10 years ago. For the time being, she is forcing herself to tolerate Sora and Riku's presence. What secrets this girl holds remain a mystery.

Yeah, I know. Not another original character (and for Kingdom Hearts no less). Rift is a recent development who is going to play a big role in a particular character's past so she's pretty important to my KH fanfiction. And yes, those weapons she's using are tiger hooks. Yeah, they kick ass. :] I wish I knew how to animate so I can show you guys how cool my original characters are when they're kicking Heartless butt.
Yes, I'm FULLY aware Rift is holding the tiger hooks incorrectly. If I had drawn her holding the weapons correctly, her face would be partially covered and the overall composition would be out of balance. This is just a concept drawing; she DOES hold and use the weapons properly in my story.
