I've always liked the idea of having a twin brother so here's my yearning in the form of art and a side-story.
Trina and Daunté Twilight both hail from Ash Ketchum's hometown of Pallet Town. Unlike Ash, however, Trina and Daunté woke up early enough to manage to snatch up one of the three main beginning Pokémon. Trina chose Charmander while Daunté picks out Squirtle, thinking he'll have an advantage since he's always felt a little inferior to his stronger-willed twin sister. The two of them traveled together, both managing to conquer both Kanto and Johto's Pokémon tournaments.
Before moving on to Hoenn, Daunté decides to have a battle with his sister between her Charizard, Blaze, and his Blastoise, Tsunami. Though both Pokémon were strong in their own rights, Trina manages to defeat her brother fair and square. Seeing this, Daunté determines that it was time that the two of them finally went their separate ways. He tells Trina that he had been itching to become a Coordinator instead and Trina accepts her brother's decision, understanding that splitting up was the only way for both of them to be the best at what they wish to be. With a heart-tugging goodbye near Littleroot Town, Trina and Daunté part ways and hope to meet up again sometime in the future.
